During the course of my career, I've had many opportunities to talk with other Olympians about their mental strategies. I thought I was unique because the way I thought didn't seem to fit the mold for what I was taught on how successful people think. But the more and more I listened, the more I realized that the way I thought wasn't unique among Olympians, but rather that the way Olympians think is unique! I've compiled my top 10 Ways To Think Like An Olympian and put them together here in this ebook. As well, I created some exercises for you to work on changing the way you think, especially when it comes to challenges and failure. This isn't just for athletes, it is for anyone who wants to think themselves successful in whatever they are doing.
Last week my work "Four Pilings" was featured in B&W Minimalism Magazine issue #12! They have featured some really amazing artists, so to be included amongst them has me feeling incredibly proud. You can view the issue online! Look for me!
"The Olympians Mindset with Brent Hayden"
Really proud of this podcast with Justin Schenck from Growth Now Movement! Find out what separates Olympians from the rest of the crowd and how you can use those skills to launch you to the next level. Whether your a young athlete, millionaire, or boot-strappin entrepreneur, this will help you! www.growthnowmovement.com/Brent-Hayden How to Create an Olympic Medal Winning Mindset
Speaking from experience about how to create yourself by not allowing yourself to be defined by the things you can't do. There is a big difference between someone who was born with talent and someone who had to work hard to develop the same set of skills --- only one of those will understand the value of hard work. This is just one of the many things I will teach you how to do in this podcast. iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/444-creating-an-olympic-medal-winning-mindset-brent-hayden/id1059619918?i=1000416681993&mt=2 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4XiI0xkxQ2wSg1bCTDq5F9?si=OhH-2UUBRKOSET-gXHrwBA Original location: https://www.jeremyryanslate.com/444-creating-olympic-medal-winning-mindset-brent-hayden/ My guest spot on Effortless Swimming was released. Titled "Rising Through Challenge" after our Astra Athletica slogan, I talk about some pretty deep moments in my career such as being beaten and arrested by Greek riot police at my first Olympic Games for "being tall and wearing a dark shirt," to a promise I made to my grandfather days before he passed away. Also talking about how I see competitive swimming today!
